| Harris-Stowe alumnus David Estes begins his fifth season at Harris-Stowe after competing for two seasons as a pitcher for the Hornets. He has helped mold the pitching staff into a unit that gives the Hornets the opportunity to be successful every time they take the field. Estes also oversees the outfielders and the strength and conditioning programs at Harris-Stowe, and serves as the academic liaison.
Coach Estes spent the summers of 2005 and 2006 as pitching coach for the O’Fallon (MO) American Legion team. In 2006, Estes guided the pitching staff to a third place finish in the 16-team league tournament.
Estes currently spends his summers as assistant coach for the Fulton Railroaders in the Kentucky-Illinois-Tennessee (KIT) Collegiate League. Estes was instrumental in the Railroaders capturing their first regular season championship in league history in 2007.
Estes earned a bachelor’s degree in Education from Harris-Stowe State University.
