The Harris-Stowe State University Softball Team had two players earn Honorable Mention All-Conference honors and three more earn Academic All-Conference honors for the American Midwest Conference (AMC).
Junior third baseman/pitcher Rebecca Rhode and sophomore first baseman Carissa Mudge were nameto the Honorable Mention All-Conference team.
Rhode led the Hornets in batting average (.479), 35 hits, slugging percentage (669) and 10 doubles.
Mudge was instrumental in powering the Hornets offensively by leading the team in home runs (6) and in RBIs (19).
Students who maintained at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale throughout the season won Academic All-Conference honors. Three Harris-Stowe softball players achieved this honor; these players included sophomore Lacy Owens, freshmen Maya Morris and Melissa Lombardo.
